Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1

Ouarzazate Skoura Dades Gorges Todra

Begin your private Sahara desert tour from Ouarzazate with Local Morocco Tours, your dedicated desert specialist. We meet you at your accommodation and visit the city's main attractions before driving via Skoura and the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Valley. We continue to the Todra Gorges, where you spend the night in a hotel or kasbah with dinner included.

Day 2

Todra Erfoud Merzouga

After breakfast we explore the Todra Gorges, then travel via Tinghir, Tinjdad and Erfoud, with an optional stop at a fossil-marble workshop, before continuing to Merzouga via Rissani — the old capital of the Tafilalt region and once an important caravan crossroads. On arrival in Merzouga we meet our camel guide for a 90-minute camel trek into the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, pausing along the way to enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional nomad tent.

Day 3

Merzouga Agdz Draa Valley Ouarzazate

We rise early to watch a stunning Sahara sunrise over the Merzouga dunes, then ride the camels back to the village for breakfast. After breakfast we drive back to Ouarzazate via Rissani, Nkob and the Draa Valley, and drop you off at your riad. At Local Morocco Tours, we will do everything we can to tailor a private Morocco tour that is perfect for you, your family, your friends or your group.
