Best Marrakech Tour for 8 Days: Top Ranked Marrakech Desert Tour to Chefchaouen

We provide an itinerary for a tour of the Grand Desert that lasts for 8 days and begins in Marrakech. From the RED city, you may go on a tailor-made excursion in Morocco to get the whole picture.

8-day itinerary from Marrakech to Chefchaouen across the Sahara Desert.

From Marrakech, make your way to the desert of Merzouga. On a private trip that lasts for three days, you will go to Marrakech and Fes, two of the most beautiful cities in Morocco.

Day 1: Sightseeing trip in Marrakech:

Explore the Sahara on a Tour From Marrakech with Local Morocco Tours: your own desert tour business. Take a taxi to your riad as soon as you touch down at the Marrakech International Airport. We are going to have a tour guide take us around the major sites in Marrakech today. The Saadiyin Tomb, the Majorelle Gardens, and the Koutoubia Tower will all be seen from this vantage point. The famous Jamma el Fna plaza is located inside the Medina, and our trip will take you there after we visit Bahia Square and the city's Souk. We have booked a room in a riad for the night in Marrakech.

Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorges Day 2

The first part of today's journey involves a breathtaking drive via the Atlas Mountains and the Tichka pass. Next up is a stop at Ouarzazate, which has been featured in a number of movies, including Alexander the Great, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, and Kingdom of Heaven, amongst others. The view is very stunning. We make a halt at the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is widely considered to be one of Morocco's most stunning strongholds. The Dades Gorges will be your home for the night. Through Local Morocco Tours, you may take a tour of the local area around Marrakech.

Day 3: Dades Canyon - Todra Canyon - Erfoud - Merzouga

After breakfast, depart from Dades Valley and make your way to the Todra Gorges, which are well known among rock climbers. Later on, we continue our journey by following the historic Bedouin trading routes that connect the Middle Atlas and traveling through a number of walled villages that have spectacular pre-Saharian architecture. One of the most beautiful drives in the region is the one that leads to Merzouga. In the midst of an inhospitable red desert, the French founded the town as an important administrative hub. It is well-known for the stunning petrified marble that is black in color. In order to draw attention to the relief of fossils on ashtrays, washbasins, and other items, the stone is carved in a certain pattern. We will take you on a camel ride through the Erg Chaabi Dunes after we get at Merzouga. Spend the night in a tent built for the desert.

Day 4: Merzouga - Erfoud - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Fes

After eating breakfast and taking a shower at the camp, you will get up at 6:00 a.m. to see the dawn over the sand dunes, and then you will ride a camel back to a hotel. You will travel through the Ziz Gorges, which are carved through the towering rock walls that serve as a reminder of the Ziz's previous might and prophesy the rising of the High Atlas to the west. The road enters Midelt once it has traversed the Tizi-N-Talghemt pass and gone past it. In Midelt, dine at a little restaurant. The lengthy journey into the Middle Atlas begins with a trip through a holm oak wood and an ancient cedar grove. This will be the first part of the journey. Take a look at the young monkeys or apes that are climbing the branches of the tree. Next, we make our way to Ifrane, a city in Morocco that is reminiscent of Switzerland with tiled rooftops and a vibe that is more European. After that, your driver in Fes will take you to your Riad or hotel there (Medina ).

Day 5: Fez Medina Guided Tour

Fes was Morocco's first imperial city and is an important intellectual, cultural, and religious hub to this day. Following breakfast, you will be taken on a guided tour of the royal palace, which features "tightly barred doors." After that, you will be escorted to the Mellah, which is Fes' Jewish enclave, where the wealthiest residences had windows painted yellow or blue and wooden balconies.

Then there is the earthenware pottery of Fez, which is often tin-glazed and has motifs in shades of cobalt blue. After that, you will arrive to the largest and oldest ancient Medina in all of Morocco. You'll start at Madrasa Bou Inania. with the obvious exception of the El Habbadine Medrasa. In the year 857, in a community that had recently been settled by Kairourani people, the Kairouyine Mosque was built. Along the banks of the Oued Fes is a lively tannery region known as the Tanneries, which we will also visit. From the roofs, one can see clusters of stone vats filled with red, yellow, and brown dyes, as well as sskins spread around and drying in the sun. This is a captivating scene. You will get some exercise throughout the afternoon by going for a walk before heading back to your lodging. Through Local Morocco Tours, you may take a tour of the local area around Marrakech.

6th day: Fes - Chefchouen

Your trip to Chefchaoune will start promptly at 8:30 in the morning. As you make your way through the Rif mountains, you will go through a number of different towns and villages. You'll undertake the Ouzzanne route. You will get at Chefchoune in the wee hours of the morning, giving you plenty of time to wander about on your own. The studded doorways and carved cornices that adorn the Medina homes are typical of Moroccan architecture. These homes overlook the town and valley below.

The bottom of each of these whitewashed homes has a tint that might be described as bluish-mauve. This particular style of painting was developed by the Andalusian people. In addition, there is the Plaza Uta El Hammam and the Jamma El Kebir, which are both adorned in Andalusian style and date back to the 15th century. Jamma El Kebir is also known as the Great Mosque. Riad is an ancient city, and you should spend the night there.

7th day: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech

Today is the day when we will travel to Rabat. After a quick stop in Rabat, we will continue on to Casablanca to see the Hassan II Mosque, and then we will head to Marrakech.
