Starting at the Strait of Gibraltar — where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean and Africa faces Europe across 14km of water — the circuit moves through every major Moroccan landscape: the Rif Mountains, the imperial medinas, the Middle Atlas cedar forests, the Sahara dunes at Merzouga, the Draa Valley, the High Atlas, and the Atlantic coast at Essaouira before ending in Marrakech.

Tangier as the starting point gives the tour its most logical geographic narrative: you travel from the extreme north to the extreme south of the country, always moving forward without backtracking. The variety is extreme — the temperature at Erg Chebbi in summer is 45°C, while the Rif Mountains above Chefchaouen can be cool enough for a jacket in the same week. This is the full range of Morocco, not a highlights reel.
